Facing the scenic Basilan strait, Paseo del Mar is a seafront park located near Fort Pilar.

It is said that one of the most marvelous sunsets in the city could be witnessed here.

A view of the city’s busy port could also be seen from Paseo del Mar.

Until it comes more alive at night with live bands, food stalls and colorful decorative lamps lighting up the park.

It was also a coincidence that during our visit, on the 23rd of March, it was also the city’s launching of their first ever (and probably Philippines’ as I haven’t seen one like it before anywhere else in our country) Dancing Musically Gyrating Fountain. Speak of perfect timing right?
